SaskBuilds and Procurement is working in
partnership with SaskTel to deploy a new phone system for government, the new
Integrated Business Communications (IBC) system. Phase One of the
rollout replaced the Centrex IP (VoIP) system is complete and phase two is
underway working to replace Centrex (analog/legacy) lines in regional
locations across the province.
Phase One of the rollout replaced the Centrex IP (VoIP) system, which was end-of-life and no longer supported by the manufacturer. Phase Two will focus on replacing Centrex (analog/legacy) lines in regional locations across the province.
Phase Two is adopting a "sprint" approach for scheduling, meaning that locations will be scheduled in batches in two to three month intervals. The first sprint cycle has been completed and the sprint two schedule is below. If your location is not in the schedule, it will be addressed in a future sprint cycle.
