Central Services is working in partnership with SaskTel to deploy a new phone system for government, the new Integrated Business Communications (IBC) system. Phase One of the rollout replaced the Centrex IP (VoIP) system, which was end-of-life and no longer supported by the manufacturer. Phase Two will focus on replacing Centrex (analog/legacy) lines in regional locations across the province.  

Phase Two is adopting a "sprint" approach for scheduling, meaning that locations will be scheduled in batches in two to three month intervals. The first sprint cycle schedule is below. If your location is not in the schedule, it will be addressed in a future sprint cycle.

The IBC Project Team offers regularly scheduled, online phone user training sessions. Check out the sessions and time slots available below. These sessions are free of charge and open to all S employees. For schedules, registration, and inquiries, please contact

IBC User Training
A comprehensive introduction covering the desk phone, soft client computer program, and user portal website
Scheduled the first Wednesday morning and third Thursday of the month
Recommended for all employees

  • September 17, from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
  • October 7, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
  • October 22, from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
  • November 4, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
  • November 19, from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
  • December 2, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
  • December 17, from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

IBC Audio Conferencing Training
Covers the IBC conference service, 3-to-6 way calling, SaskTel OnDemand teleconference service, and hosting a conference call
Scheduled the second Wednesday morning of the month
Recommended for office administrative staff, open to all employees

  • October 14, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
  • November 10, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. (Moved to a Tuesday due to stat holiday)
