Sometimes life's obstacles can feel overwhelming, or maybe you need a little information to tackle a personal issue, or you are a manager/supervisor and need to assist an employee in your work unit. At times like these, it's comforting to know you have someone to reach out to; someone to listen to your concerns and offer guidance, support or information. The Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) provides you with immediate and confidential help for work, health and life concerns.
The Government of Saskatchewan's EFAP is administrated by Morneau Shepell. As a leader in delivering integrated health solutions in Saskatchewan and across Canada, Morneau Shepell provides employees and managers/supervisors with support services to help with work, health and life challenges.

The EFAP provides managers/supervisors with access to
learning events, critical and traumatic incident response, as well as
consultative support, advice and guidance.

No matter the issue, the EFAP is available to provide guidance, with issues such as:
- Stress, depression, anxiety
- Nutrition questions
- Legal worries
- Addiction concerns
- Workplace challenges
Managers/supervisors can also contact the EFAP for guidance regarding employee concerns. This may include workplace change, conflict and stress, mental health, grief and loss, addictions and critical incidents.The program is available for employees and eligible family members of executive government, as well as numerous external government agencies.
Eligible family members include dependents and
spouses/partners. Definitions of 'dependents', 'spouse' or 'partner' are
intended to be consistent with the current understanding of these terms by the Public Employees Dental Plan.

Morneau Shepell's Client Care Representatives, clinical counsellors and professional service providers adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality procedures. The EFAP is completely confidential within the limits of the law. – such as threat of violence to oneself or others, child abuse or a subpoena require Morneau Shepell to release information by law.
