ISM is moving the Government of Saskatchewan/ISM Canada data centre from Regina to a new state-of-the-art facility in Saskatoon.
This exciting initiative will benefit IT service across government. The new Tier 3 SaskTel data centre in Saskatoon will provide clients with improvements in technology, speed, security and reliability.
Led by an IBM team with extensive experience in data centre transitions, only minimal support is expected to be required from ministries. ISM and Central Services’ IT division will be working with ministries every step of the way to be sure they can plan for any limited testing or support they may need to provide.
The first large system moves will take place in the New Year, with the entire transition expected to take place over a year. For status updates on the initiative, be sure to visit this page.
