Government employees occupy a number of buildings across the province, most of which are owned, leased and/or managed by the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement. The Operations and Service Delivery Division of SaskBuilds and Procurement strives to ensure our buildings are well operated, maintained and cleaned. This enables the important programs and services of government can be carried out smoothly. If you have any questions or concerns about the building you work in please contact your Tenant Rep or Building Operator. To find out who your Tenant Rep is, please contact your administrative support. In the event you don’t have a Building Operator you can contact the Building Manager

Tenant Reps
Each building has a Tenant Rep assigned to help coordinate client needs and building management requirements. This person is a co-worker from your ministry who liaises with Property Management.  To find out who your Tenant Rep is, click here or contact your administrative support. Tenant Reps should be contacted in the event that:
  • you believe a larger renovation is necessary (e.g. bathroom should be re-done);
  • a non-urgent matter needs to be undertaken (e.g. you would like to re-arrange your workspace); or
  • a concern of the overall building service and maintenance
Building Operators and Building Managers
All government buildings have assigned Building Mangers and some also have Building Operators, who report to a Building Manager. Building Managers and Operators are responsible for the complete operations and maintenance of buildings and grounds. This means they coordinate and perform on site project management activities and maintain customer relations requests and complaints. Click here for a list of Building Operators and Managers. Building Operators should be contacted in the event that:
  • something of an urgent matter occurs (e.g. a leak); or
  • a small maintenance project is needed (e.g. replacing a light bulb)

Day-to-day operations

The Government of Saskatchewan currently operates more than 680 buildings in 150 communities. This is certainly no small task! If you require renovations to your space or a physical change to your workspace, please contact your designated Tenant Rep. To find out who your Tenant Rep is, please contact your administrative support. Tenant Reps are your first contact for any and all non-emergency renovations and changes. For after-hours requests, please see the After-Hours Use of SaskBuilds and Procurement Owned Property Policy and the SaskBuilds and Procurement Facility Request Booking Form attached to the policy.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is an important part of managing government properties. If you notice that something is broken, not working or dangerous, and needs immediate repair, please contact your designated Building Operator or Building Manager.

Cleaning services

Cleaning the large portfolio of buildings owned and leased by the Government of Saskatchewan is an important part of building management. Regular cleaning is scheduled for all government properties, however, accidents also happen and sometimes additional spills and messes may occur. If you see something that needs to be cleaned up or you have a special request (e.g. a special event that will require additional cleaning before and/or after) please contact your designated Building Operator or Building Manager.

Request guard services

Guard services can be acquired to ensure the security of a facility for after-hours functions. To request guard services, please fill out the Guard Request Form and acquire the necessary approvals of your organization. If there is an emergency situation that requires security (e.g. floods, break-ins, etc.), please contact Building Security and Access (306-787-9231) after emergency services have been notified.
